Great Adirondack Trail Run - A Good Thing or Not?

According to an unnamed official in the Spitzer Administration the Mountaineer has requested for 2008 a Temporary Revocable Permit (TRP) to hold the Great Adirondack Trail Run through the Giant Mt. Wilderness Area. DEC has not indicated so far whether it will be issuing a permit or not, but those who are opposed to this type of wilderness encroachment should speak up now and contact the Commissioner.
